Requirements: 6 months or older
Duration: 8- 10 days (average)
Our training program is compatible for dogs of all ages. We teach all the basic commands (sit, come, heel, place, OK.)
The goal is to gain control of your dog, on and off leash. This allows both dog, and owner to have more freedom!
What To Expect
Most dogs require 8 - 10 hours of training to get to a place where the owners are happy, and the dog retains the training.
(duration is subject to change by discretion of trainer)
Generally each session is 1-2 hours, but can be subject to change depending on your dogs attitude and what we are working on that day.
The first 2-3 sessions will be done one on one with your dog and trainer, typically at your home or surrounding area (if you are located within our travel radius). Once your dog is ready to practice with you, you may be as involved with the training as you'd like.
Your trainer will help you understand how to work with your dog after the program is complete, so you can have long lasting results for years to come.
Training sessions can also be done at more convenient meeting places such as parks or other public areas if you are outside our travel radius, or if we are practicing real world experiences with your dog. They learn the best with consistent training, but can only handle so much each in each session - that's why we spread the training out over multiple days.
We understand that life is busy, and training may not be able to be done in consecutive days. But don't worry, your dog won't forget if there is some time between each session.
We will work with you to come up with the best training schedule that fits you and your dogs needs.
All of the training we do is based on the use of a Veterinarian approved electronic tool called an E- collar. These types of collars are used by many professionals, and will not hurt your dog when used in the correct way. In this type of training, the E- collar is used to help communicate with, and guide your dog in a way that they can understand. We use low levels of electrical stimulation, along with a positive attitude to help reinforce what we are teaching them. We do not use E- collars in an aggressive or punishing way.
If you still have questions, reach out and we will be happy to chat!
